Laying the digital path
The digitalisation of companies confronts them with structural changes and new, future-oriented challenges. In order for the technical potential of digitalisation to be used in a smart way and sustainably, digital expertise plays a central role.
saaris supports companies in the region in their digital transformation as part of the European Digital Innovation Hub Saarland (EDIH Saarland). The hub is part of the European funding initiative “Digital Europe Programme” (DIGITAL) and offers companies free services for the digitalisation of production and office processes as well as the use of artificial intelligence (AI).
In doing so, EDIH Saarland acts as a digital innovation catalyst and integrator for structural change in Saarland and offers regional small and medium-sized enterprises, medium-sized companies and public institutions a comprehensive portfolio of services. This includes a wide testing and experimentation landscape, a network of experts and a regional innovative infrastructure. The aim is to boost the level of digitalisation of businesses. As part of the Saar-Lor-Lux greater region, we also offer our services to companies in the greater region and work together with the local EDIH.

We inform and advise companies on the use of digitalisation and AL in their business. Similarly, companies can use our partners’ infrastructure to develop and test technologies and processes before investing themselves. We offer individual services and help to take up and develop fields of innovation independently.
We support companies and help them to build in-depth digitalisation skills. In doing so, we qualify businesses in the areas of digitalisation, including innovative topics such as AI or cyber security by offering workshops, seminars and training courses for small and medium-sized enterprises, the public sector and educational institutions.
Medium-sized companies often find it difficult to finance digitisation and innovation measures. Therefore, the state, federal government and EU provide a range of subsidies, giving companies additional incentives to invest in digitalisation. We inform and advise companies on how to choose the right programmes and on how to apply.
We promote exchange between stakeholders from business, science and the public sector and drive a sustainable innovation ecosystem involving digitalisation, artificial intelligence and IT security.
As part of our services for companies, we work closely with the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Saarbrücken and can therefore offer a very broad range of digitalisation and AI expertise.
