Patent and Trademark Centre Saar
The Patent and Trademark Centre Saar (PMZ) is a central advisory office in Saarland for questions relating to industrial property rights. It provides advice primarily on registered property rights:
- Patents and utility models for technical inventions
- Trademarks for the identification of goods and services
- Designs for protection in the field of design and styling
An initial consultation with cooperating patent attorneys takes place every second Tuesday of the month.

As part of its activities, the PMZ is an official cooperation partner of the German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA) and a member of the German piznet—the network of patent information centers in Germany—as well as a member of the European PATLIB network of the European Parliament (EPA).
Furthermore, the PMZ is part of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN). The EEN is the world’s largest network supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
