Technology transfer for SMEs - Economy Transformation Hub
The German and therefore also the Saarland economy is undergoing a profound transformation process. The willingness and ability of the Saarland economy to innovate plays a prominent role in its future competitiveness. As innovation partners for companies, the university and non-university research institutions, which have excellent research competences with international appeal, are important players in successfully shaping the upcoming transformation. The central challenge: to transfer this existing knowledge and turn it into marketable products and services.
The Economy Transformation Hub (ETH) project supports companies in meeting this challenge. In doing so, it is orientated towards Saarland’s innovation strategy, which is being continuously being developed. This has identified key areas and potential themes that are reflected in the four areas of the Economy Transformation Hub:
In addition to supporting companies in their economic transformation, saaris moderates the further development of the innovation strategy on behalf of the Ministry of Economics. Around 80 innovation experts are actively involved in a cooperative participation process. The aim is to develop concrete action plans with measures on potential topics for the Saarland.
